School of Law, Christ University Bangalore won the NCU Law School Moot Court Competition (III Edition) 2015

SCHOOL OF LAW, CHRIST UNIVERSITY BANGALORE  won the NCU Law School National Moot Court Competition (III Edition) 2015. while NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, ASSAM  was adjudged  as Runners Up.

The School of Law, THE NORTHCAP UNIVERSITY, Gurgaon organized the III Edition of NCU Law School Moot Court Competition 2015 on 20th November, 2015. The day was a success. Eminent persons from legal background- Supreme Court lawyers, Corporate officers and Academicians were called to inaugurate the event as well as judge the rounds. There were 24 teams participating in the competition from reputed universities, out of which 8 teams were qualified- LC 2, Faculty of Law, DU, National Law University, Assam, KIIT School of Law, Bhuwaneshwar, Symbiosis Law School, Noida, School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore, IMS Unison University, Dehradun, Chanakya National Law University, Patna and Lloyd Law college, Greater Noida.

Out of these 8 teams, National Law University, Assam, KIIT School of Law, Bhuwaneshwar, School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore and IMS Unison University, Dehradun made it to the Semi-Finals.

Semi-final rounds took place today and were judged by advocates solicitors general, Researchers, partners from corporate firms. School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore and National Law University, Assam qualified for the final.

Final round was held at Seminar Hall and judged by the five judge bench. Bench comprises of

  • MR.RAVI CHAWLA
  • MR.  SARTHAK NAYAK
  • MR.AKSHAY  MEHTA
  • MR.ARVIND P BHANU
  • MR. SUBHRADIPTA SARKA

The final round was quite interesting and witness by the huge gathering.  The teams had put forward there best effort and knowledge before this Honorable court.

Finally the SCHOOL OF LAW, CHRIST UNIVERSITY BANGALORE  won the competition while NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, ASSAM  was adjudged  as Runners Up.

The other citations awarded are as follows:

  • Best Researcher –Jitin Ahuja, LC 2, Faculty of Law, DU
  • Best Speaker (Prelims/Quarters)– Saunya Sawhney, School of Law Christ University
  • Best Speaker (Semis/Finals)– Shaunak Kumar Rajguru, KIIT School of Law, Bhuwaneshwar
  • Best Memorial– Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala
